Our most drought-tolerant alternative lawn. We hand-mix two tall fescues, including a Rhizomatous Tall Fescue type, that are deeply rooted to go further into the soil for water. We add nitrogen-fixing perennial white clover and hardy yarrow, both of which stay green in long periods of drought. Crowds out weeds. Grows well in full sun to dappled shade.
Mow about once a month to maintain this lawn at a height between 2 and 4 inches.
