Our most drought-tolerant alternative lawn. We hand-mix two tall fescues, including a Rhizomatous Tall Fescue type, that are deeply rooted to go further into the soil for water. We add nitrogen-fixing perennial white clover and hardy 'turf-type' yarrow, both of which stay green in long periods of drought. Crowds out weeds. Grows well in full sun to dappled shade.
Mow about once a month to maintain this lawn at a height between 3 - 4 inches.
